History

BT Managed Security Solutions Group has been providing state of the art managed security solutions for over nine years. Founded in 1999 the company originally operated as Counterpane Internet Security, the company was acquired in 2006 by the BT Group PLC. After operating as an independent company, under the name BT Counterpane, for a year following the acquisition, full integration was completed in 2008 with the formation of the Managed Security Solutions Group (MSSG).

The Managed Security Solutions Group combines Counterpane's managed security services portfolio with the BT's Ethical Hacking Center of Excellence; this new business unit offers its customers one of the only true end-to-end security solutions in the industry.
