Jeff Schmidt
Vice President and General Manager, Managed Security Solutions Group

As Vice President of BT's Managed Security Solutions Group in North America, Jeff Schmidt is responsible for the direction and vision of BT's Threat Monitoring and Ethical Hacking services. With over twenty years of network and IT management experience, Jeff leads the team that protects BT's customers from hackers, malevolent insiders, and virus attacks.

Before joining BT, Jeff was the vice president of INS's Ethical Hacking Solutions where he developed their Secure Enterprise Mobility Solution and Service Oriented Security Architecture solutions. Jeff brings over 20 years of experience in information technology across at several leading companies including Home Savings and Loan and Paramount Pictures.

Jim Tiller
Vice President Sales and Sales Engineering

Jim Tiller is responsible for the sales and sales engineering teams for BT's Managed Security Solutions Group. Jim came to BT following the acquisition of INS in 2007. He brings over 15 years of experience in the information security industry to his current position which has ranged from consultant to chief security officer and most recently as leader of the Ethical Hacking Center of Excellence. Jim has led teams in the development of TrustCheck and helping BT Professional Services become the highest NSA rated organization in the world.

Jim is the author of two books and coauthor of more than eight others. He is also coauthor of four patents, one of which is now an ITU-T x805 standard, and was the managing editor of Information Systems Security Journal.

Scott Behm
Vice President, Service Delivery

Scott is responsible for Global Operations, Engineering, IT and R&D for BT's Managed Security Solutions Group. Scott is focused on the planning and execution of BT's Managed Security Solutions Group's service delivery strategy, providing customers the services and intelligence necessary to defend against constantly changing network threats.

Prior to joining BT, Scott was Director of Engineering at Counterpane and was responsible for Engineering Program Management at Qualys. Scott also had the position of Director of IT Operations at PeopleSoft and held several leadership positions in Software Development and IT at Network Associates.

Scott began his career as a Naval Aviator flying carrier-based jet aircraft. Scott holds a BS degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and holds several technical and professional certifications including MCSE and CISSP.

Toby Weir-Jones
Vice President, Product Strategy

Toby is responsible for the strategic planning of BT's Managed Security Solutions Group, combining BT's vision for managed security services with feedback from customers and employees. In this role, he defines a roadmap of upcoming offerings and ensures the various development and delivery groups within BT's Managed Security Solutions Group are working towards these common goals. He travels frequently to meet with customers, gather intelligence on their problems and needs, and attends industry events in speaking and observing capacities to keep a robust perspective.

Toby joined the BT team when BT acquired Counterpane Internet Security in 2006. Toby was one of Counterpane's founding employees and had worked in several different capacities within the organization including leading the sales engineering and product management groups. Toby's involvement in the cyber security field began in 1995 with his initial work in cryptography and security policy, and he has been involved in a number of technical and strategic roles since then. Prior to joining Counterpane Toby oversaw the customer service organization at ValiCert (now Tumbleweed) while organizing the company's intellectual property portfolio and assisting with the filing and prosecution of its key technology patents. Toby also worked at Walker Digital, a patent think tank responsible for developing properties such as Priceline, where he was a patent researcher and inventor.

Toby is a named inventor for five patents, and holds a BA cum laude in engineering ethics from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
